U asked me to describe my friend

U asked me to describe my friend/ her name is…She is my classmate.She is a very pretty girl with long dark hair,and big blue iyes. T is rather slim and tall with great figure.The most attractive thing is her smile.She likes to wear jeans,T-shirts…And this type of clothes suits her very much.

She is a very good friend-attentive and helpful. It is not boring in her company because she is a very sociable person. But sometimes she can be too talkative and cant keep secrets.She has also one nrgative trait of character,she is a moody person and I don’t know what to expect from her.

However we have much in common.we both like the same music and films, enjoy playing volleyball and when we have some free time we usually go for walks to the park to breathe fresh air and share our problems.So now u know a lot about my friend/ Hope to hear from u soon. Love/

My flat is situated not far from the centre in M/S. Thre is a bus stop where u can take any bus or a trolleybus.so u can easily get to any place in the city.

Our flat is on the 3 floor.there are 2 bedrooms,liv room a kitchen a bathroom in it. There is a table with 4chairs around it and a cupboard in the kitchen.

In the evening our family get together in the living room and discuss the events of the day,tell joke or watch interesting TV programmes.

1 of the rooms is big enough another one is a bit smaller.In the small room there is a desk beside the window,the bookcase is to the left of the desk.There is a bed and a bedside table with the lamp. Another room has a TV set to the right of balcony door.There are also 2 comfortable armchairs and a cosy sofa in this room.Almost the whole floor is covered with a thick colourful fitted carpet.There are lots of flowers on the window-sills.Ilike my flat because it faces the park.

There are different relations among people.For example proffesional friendly family relations and oters.They depend on a group of people with whom u deal with.If u want to feel comfortable with different people u need to be reliable flexible helpful friendly respectful and polite.It is good when all members of the family are loving understandable and try to supporrt one another in difficult situations. However proffesional relations are quit different.U should be responsible attentive sociable and ready to help.It irritates a person if u are moody or quick-tempered.Try to remember that if u help a person will help u.

Favourite place-where I like to spend my leisure time is a park called…

It is situated near my house so it takes me only 5 min to get there on foot.

It is a beautiful place and 1 of the best parks in iur city.Some years ago it was neglected but now it was became into a very popular with the residents of Simferopol. A lot of people are attracted by its wonderful plants exotic flowers and like to rest here with families. Every season is specialin Vorontsovka because every one has its wonders.In my opinion the most beautiful season is spring or early summer when trees and flowers are in blossom.For example in spring u can enjoy various kinds of tulips narcissusses lilac. In early summer there are roses of many shades of colours

When u are in the park don’t forget to visit its ponds with water lilies and the Garden of Stones.I’m sure if u visit it once u’ll become its admirer.

Technology-We live in the time of technological and scientific progress in different spheres.During the kast century a lot of important discoveries were made.Pinicillin for example helped to save lives of thousands of people during the war. Clomimg has become the greatest breakthrough of the 20 century and can help to solve many problems in future.Nowadays we can’t imagine our life without household electric devices which become updated every year.In near future electronic robots will fulfil many types of works and make our life easier.I know that the 1 comp was created in 1946 in America,it was huge and heavy.Now our comp are comfortable and portable and thanks to them we are able to do lots of works.However techn progress has also negative effects on our life so it should be controlled and developed without doing harm to ecology.

Everyday life-As I am on yhe point of finishing school and have to prepare for school-leaving and entrance exams my everyday life is full of studies. I not only have lessons at school do my homework and attend courses in Maths,but spend much time at home to master my E.

Besides I am fond of playing volleyball so at wekends my friends and I spend some time outdoors enjoying this game. When I have free time I prefer walking in the Park with my girl-friend watchin TV and playing computer games….In the evening our family get together in the living room and discuss the events of the day,tell joke or watch interesting TV programmes.

In  the evening I spend time doing what I like watching TV, listening to music talking to my frinds or reading.At approximately 11 o’clock I’m so tired that I go to bed and fall assleep.

English-I am sure that nowadays any educated person has to know English, because it has become the most widely-spread language in the world.

I know that 80% of the worlds electronically stored information is in E.

Besides,it has official status in 72countries and is spoken as a 1-t language by around 400 million people and as the 2 language by around 300 m people.

In recent years E has become the main language of business tourism diplomacy sport techn advertising and popular music.If u want to have a foreign pen friend u need the knowlrdge of E because 80 if Internet users communicate in this language. As I’ve benn studying E do several years,I know that it’s better to read books by E and Am writers in original as well as understand the words of popular E songs. No doubt E is importaant for travelling to oter countries let alone finding work abroad. So it’s clearly seen that E is worth learning.

Services-we can’t imagine our  life without a sphere of service.Alot of people are engaged in this important sphere and very often our mood depends on their work.If u go shopping and salespeople are polite attentive and patient u’ll try to avoid a shop where a salesgirl is rude doesn’t pay attention to ur needs or makes u wait without any reason.Ishould admit that nowadays salespeople understand that at the time og tough competition. It is necessary to do their best to please a cusromer or they won’t sell anything.

When u go to a hairdresser u don’t want to be served by an indifferent person u expect to get some advice about ur hair and how to wear it.

In cafes bars and restraunts u also want to be in the focus of waiter’s attention and get tasty and fresh food.I am sure that if a person wants to be succesful in the sphere of service he should know that he or she has to please a customer.

Proffesions-Nowadays the popularity of some proffesions increased. I think it depends on the changes in our economy and policyu.No doubt the techn-ical and scientific  progress gave birth to such professions as a programmer a web-designer a system administrator,and others. Young people who get such professions don’t have problems in getting well-paid jobs they are needed by many firms.At the time of tough competition it is necessary to promote goods and products do promoters and managers are also professions of great demands.As the ecological situation in the world  gets worse every passing year the role of ecologists becomes more important.Every plant or factory nowadays should have an ecologist in its staff whose task is to protect the environment from pollution. I should sy that classical professions of a doctor a teacher an engineer are always popular because they are needed by society.Unfortunately they are not well-paid so young people prefer not to get them.

Mass media and internet.

The media in our country is a public structire which gives people up-to-date detailed information about situation in politics, economy, culture,sport and  in  other aspects of life.

I know that all the newspapers can be classified as “quality”, local and “tabloids”. “quality” newspapers are (considered) more serious. They write about current affairs policitical debates, economic position of the country and so on.

“Tabloids” newspapers are less serious, they have a lot  of  pictures, short articles, grossip columns where you can read about the private lives of famous people.

Nowadays, I should admit, young people are not great reades iof newspapers. They prefer to learn news from TV programs or through Internet serious TV programs and  shows are widely popular and discussed by people of all ages. Personaly I am fond of chat shows or quiz shows with well-known hosts.

No doubt, at present Internet plays part in our life. It’s a source of information, means of entertainment and a great helper in work.

BritainThe official name of the country the United Kindom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It  is situated to the  north-west of Europ on the British Isles.

Great Britain consists of england,, scotland and wales. Once they were separrate countries. Each of them are special with lots of place of interest.

England is famous for its capital, london, big industrial cities, university towns. Oxford and cambridge.

Scotland is a land of mountains, lakes and ancient castles. Its capital  Edinburgh is  well-known for it’s a thousand-year old  castle and annual

Musical festivals.Wales has lots of holiday towns and wonderful beaches which attract a great number of holiday-makers.

Britain gave birth to such great writers and poets as               W/Shakespeare

Byron D Defoe R/Burns.J K Jerome and others.

Their works are masterpieces and though they were written long time ago they continue to impress and surprise their readers.of course if I were in B I’d like to visit Stratford-on-Avon where W.Shakespeare was born and to see 1 of his plays in the famous Memorial Sh theatre

Literature-I can’t imagine an educated person without reading books.I am sure that reading is one of the main sources of information learning enriching of vocabulary and development.The more a person reads the better his speech is of course the quality of books and stories is important.

There are lots of kinds of stories and everyone can choose a book up to his or her liking.Personally I am a great lover of reading adventure and detective stories fantasies and historical stories.Icant stand love stories and biographies they seem dull and boring to me. When I was a small girl I ysed to read fairy-tales legends and myths. They were about strong and  just people and in them good always defeated evil.I think that reading cant be replaced by television and computers thoug our life is impossible witout them. Ishould admit that only books and stories enlarge our imagination and make us feel as if we are in different times and in different places.

Leisure time-unfortunately at present I donthave much leisure time as I spend long hours preparing for my school-leaving and entrance exams.

However if I have some free time I enjoy doing something to my liking.I’ve got a lot of hobbies and interests. AT school I play volleyball and I something go swimming with my friends. I’m keen on dancing and listening to music especially E songs.I am very interested in movies and I like reading about famous films stars.BUT my favourite hobby is reading books

traveling. I think that travelling is one of the best ways of spending holidays. You can see a new place, meet new people and get much new information.There are different ways of travelling, but personally I prefer to travel by bus, especially around Crimea. Nowadays there are lots of mini-buses which can take you to any part of our peninsula without problems. They are faster than trolley-buses and you can see a lot of wonderful sights(views) through the window.Besides, Crimea is rich in mountains and forests, so if the weather is nice, it’s a pleasure to go backpacking for a day or two, find a comfortable site, make a campfire, prepare meals and enjoy beautiful nature. I often go to the mountain with my friends at weekends in spring or summer.Last year I visited the capital of our country, Kiev. I went there by train and enjoyed this journey very much. I spent time reading, looking at the window and talking to people in my compartment. Though my visit to Kiev was not long, I was impressed by the beauty of this city, the Dniper river and hospitality of its people.

Environment pollution is one of  the greatest dangers to human life on the earth.U is suffering many env pr-s.Many of them have been caused by economic activities.There are many conseq of damaging the env.1 of them is water pollution/…and others rivers are in danger.They sre filled with poisin^industrial waste…Industrial interprises emit tons of  harmful substances into water/These emissions have disastrous consequences for us..they destroy fishing industry and kead to a damage of wildlife. Another problem is an air pollution.For ex pumping waste gases from a power station or a metallurgical plant.The waste gases cause acid rains.it kills the plants and animals that usually live there.The next ecologic problem is destroying ozone layer which helps to protect us from the sun ultrav radiation. An pr is the pr of the sea of A. it becomes dirty very easily.many ind centres such as M B pour into the sea all kinds of chemic

But the most terrible ec pr of U is Ch. The effect of Ch is dangers and tragic.The goverm tries to do its best to neutralise the radioactive effect and to help people living in the zone of contamination.cooperating with Gp.GB-as a highly developed industrial country also faces a monumental task in the restoring urban and rural environments.That have been abused for decades.Pollution.Another problem  of GB is recycling.About 60% rubish from homes and factories contain materials that could be recycled.Recycling saves energy and raw materials and also reduces damage to the countryside.The main itemsof the susvival projects in B are^overcoming of the problem of air and water pollution.^projection of special nature sites.
